A Mossad intelligence service agent faced execution on Saturday in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province, as reported by the official IRNA news agency.

The individual was implicated in communicating with foreign services, notably Mossad, gathering classified information. Collaborating with associates, the agent supplied documents to foreign services, including Mossad, leading to the reported execution.

The accused reportedly provided classified information to a “Mossad officer” with the intention of promoting propaganda for groups and organizations opposed to the Islamic Republic, according to the statement. The location of the alleged transfer was not disclosed.

The timing of the individual’s arrest remains unclear, but IRNA reported that an appeal had been denied.
